History
1995
After ten years of servicing information technology systems for business and government, Guy Hinkler founded V2 Systems in April of 1995 in the basement of his farmhouse in Prince William County. With hard work and a focused vision, Guy was able to grow out of the farmhouse and into commercial space in Manassas, Virginia, where V2 Systems still maintains its headquarters.
1997
V2 recognized a significant industry trend and strategically shifted focus from Novell to Microsoft. The strategic decision enabled another expansion by transitioning its client base in addition to accessing larger growth markets.
2000
V2 continued to expand by positioning itself as experts on “Y2K”. Through practical solutions to the Y2K problem, V2 earned the loyalty of its current clients and gained many new clients.
2002
V2 Systems made an important decision to bring on vested talent. The principle is simple: get the right people on the bus and make sure they have a vested interest in the corporate vision. That year, the company tripled the number of equity partners to help build the organization.
2005
V2 experienced 350% growth from 2002 to 2005, nearly a four-fold increase in revenues. V2 attributed this to its concentration on finding the right employees who shared in V2’s vision.
2007
Expanding on the corporate strategy set in 2002, V2 became an employee owned company. Additionally, V2 Systems solidified its strategic vendor relationships by achieving significant certified partnership levels from Microsoft and Cisco.
2008
Only part way through the year, V2 has already made its mark through three strategic acquisitions designed to expand skill sets, technology solutions, vendor relationships and client bases. These acquisitions included Ronintech, Your Computer Guy, and SGTS' Washington DC operations. V2 Systems also received the “Fantastic 50” award, recognized as one of the 50 fastest growing companies in Virginia.
